Ballet Classes

Jennings County Ballet LLC is dedicated to providing traditional ballet classes for children and adults.

Our mission is to teach proper ballet technique, vocabulary, and performance skills in a compassionate and supportive setting. Whether you are a beginner or experienced dancer, our classes offer an engaging way to build confidence, strength, and artistry. Parents are welcome to observe all classes.

Structure and Recital

The 2025-2026 School Year is divided into two phases.

Phase One: (August-December) Classes focus on age and level appropriate exercises to develop solid technique habits, improve strength and flexibility, achieve proper posture for balance, and work on memorization skills.

*Pre-Ballet classes will also prepare for an informal showing in December for family and friends*

Phase Two: (January-May) Students continue practicing technique while learning choreography for the Spring Recital. The theme for 2026 Spring Recital is Swan Lake. Information about recital and costume fees, venue, possible additional rehearsals, and all other details will be communicated starting in February. Students are not required to participate in the recital.

Dress Code

1.  Comfort is key! There is no strict clothing dress code for classes. Students should wear clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in. Leggings, shorts, and t-shirts, for example, are all acceptable. You may also choose to dress in traditional ballet attire consisting of leotard and tights or optional skirts.

2.  Please style hair away from the face to reduce distraction and prevent injury.

3.  Footwear: Soft pink ballet shoes are strongly encouraged. Please do not purchase pointe shoes. Socks are preferred over bare feet.

4.  Students will be required to wear pink ballet tights and soft pink ballet shoes along with their costumes for the Spring Recital.
